49 Days

Hey Everyone!

So, I just finished another great drama! But, first, I will tell you about my life lately since the last drama. I had a job, then turns out they didn't need an extra person afterall. So, basically I no longer have a job, and I can go on a second vacation! Yay! Could have used the money though *sigh*. Anyways, Digi is doing great. Got her last set of vaccines today and as lively as always! Anyways, back to the drama. I started a few dramas, but have not finished any of those because they are incomplete still, such as Lie to Me and Romance Town. Both of which I look forward to finishing once complete. The one I did finish today was 49 Days. It was a fantasy drama kind of like Secret Garden, however more about the after life and the period between death and going to heaven (or wherever people believe in). The drama started off with Shin Ji Hyun, a very sweet girl that seemed to have everything she could possibly need; two best friends, a handsome fiance, and two great parents that loved her more than anything. However, a few days before JH's wedding, she gets into an accident due to Song Yi Kyung who attempted suidice. YK is the other protagonist of this drama, who is living like a zombie. She has no friends, family, or any other loved ones. The only person she loved, died 5 years ago, and it seemed as though she had nothing to live for anymore since everyone abandoned her. Now, JH was in a coma because of almost brain death, whereas YK lived because she was saved by her old doctor. While JH is in a coma, Song Yi Soo (a Scheduler/angel of death) comes along and tells her, since her death was an accident (she wasn't supposed to die that day since YK caused the accident), she was given 49 days to find 3 people (other than family) who will cry sincere tears for her. At first JH thought that there was no doubt that there would be 3 people who will cry sincerely for her, however realized that two out of three were plotting against her all along. Just before JH's accident, her best friend Shin In Jung and her fiance Kang Min Ho were having an affair. However, not soon afterwards, she realizes that they have been together long before JH even met MH. JH felt betrayed and plotted against them. During the 49 days, JH had to use YK's body since YK goes to work at night. JH ended up working for her old friend Han Kang (who always loved JH since they were younger). HK, even without knowing who JH is, helped her, and through several events, JH realized that HK was the better man and fell in love with him. In fact, HK gave JH her first tear. Eventually, JH did receive all 3 tears (other two were from Seo Woo and In Jung afterall) and awoke. But, unfortunately, even after JH returned, it turned out that her time of death was only delayed, and she was to die about 6 days later. So, she pretended that she could not remember the past, and just spent one last day with HK before her death. In the meantime, the person YK had been waiting for, finally came, it turned out that YS was her lover, and a misunderstanding between them caused her to become a zombie since she thought he abandoned her. They had one last date and YS parted with her with his last goodbye. The last person that YS had to send away for death was JH. However, on his last day around, he was able to see that it turned out that YK was JH's lost sister (Unnie). So, in the end, the couples may not have been together, but at least it was a tear jerking ending where both realized that love does not have to end at death, and those memories live on forever with them. YK finally got a family, and HK finally started working as an architect again. Overall, this drama was very emotional (lots of tears), but definitely worth a watch. I give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.

I'm off,

- B
