Faith

Hey Everyone!

It's been a while since I last posted. To be honest, I think I finished a couple other dramas since my last post, but I just have a hectic semester this time. However, after watching this drama, my heart will not let me sleep without posting its tale. The drama was called Faith, and it was my third historical drama. It mainly revolved around the story of Choi Young and Yoo Eun Soo. ES was from the 21st century, but CY was sent to her time to bring a doctor back to save the current queen from dying. When CY went, the first doctor her found was ES. This event started an array of adventures for the two of them, and eventually (of course) they fell in love. Initially, the two could not stand each other (especially since CY technically kidnapped her). ES also did not acknowledge her feelings for a long time because she was a doctor that liked to save lives, whereas he was a killer by trade (army General). Eventually though, the two just could not help but fall in love with each other. However, it turned out that there were many instances that CY almost died, and so, the future ES left her clues to help save him. Of course throughout the drama, there were lots of bad guys that got in the way of their love. In this case though, there were not too many people preventing their love from growing, but rather lots of greedy people trying to steal this so called "heaven person". Eventually though, ES had found a way back to her world, yet she decided to stay. The rest of the drama involved ES's struggle to stay in that world with CY, and CY's struggle to further protect ES. If you watch the drama, you will get a chance to see just how the characters all developed over time (like for example the new king). I found this drama to be a really good, heart wrenching drama, that definitely kept me wanting more! Their love in this drama just made my heart melt, and made me realize you should always live in the moment and always appreciate what you have. The ending, you'll have to see for yourself, as I do not want to spoil it. It is definitely a good watch, and I hope to hear from others once they've seen it. I gave this drama a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Extra comments (SPOILERS!)
- I loved the sceneries
 - The King and Queen were portrayed really well (the yearning for each other was just wonderful!)
- Lee Min Ho! (what more do I need to say?)
- The ended was heart wrenching (if you have watched it and know what I mean, please do comment and let me know what you thought of the ending)

That's it for now.

I'm off,

City Hunter

Hey Everyone!

So, I just finished watching an awesome drama called City Hunter. Apparently, it is originally from a manga by Tsukasa Kojo (didn't know that). Anyways, it was about Lee Yoon Sung (AKA Poo Chai and John Lee), who had grown up with his apparent father, Lee Jin Pyo (AKA Steve Lee). JP was a part of a secret mission in 1983 to go infiltrate North Korea, he was also an agent for the Blue House. He worked there along with his best friend Park Moo Yul. During the mission, 5 men joined aliance and decided for the betterment of Korea to kill off the men on the mission (even though they were promised to return alive). Their own country killed them. The lone survivor was JP because MY had protected him. Soon prior to that incident, MY's wife had a baby, and that baby is YS. After the incident, JP took YS from his mother and raised him in Thailand, while training him for his revenge against the 5 men. In Thailand, YS met Bae Shik Joong (AKA Bae Man Deok), his only Korean friend. SJ had a history himself, but only told YS to someday find a girl, Kim Na Na. After an incident where his only mother figure in Thailand is killed, YS becomes enraged and kills the men, but at the same time he almost died, but JP protected him and injured his leg in the process. At that time, in the brink of death, he told YS about what happened and his revenge. So, YS trained and studied hard and went to MIT in the US to return to Korea someday and get revenge. When he returns to Korea, he started working in the communications department in the Blue House, and from there he gained more knowledge about the 5 men. He decided to take revenge in his own manner, not by killing the men, but rather showing their corruption to the nation. He found each of the men and convicted them by sending them to Kim Young Joo (prosecuter). He then became "City Hunter". One of the men happened to be YJ's father. YJ had always been NN's Daddy Long Legs, because his father caused the accident that killed her mother and put her father in a coma. At that time it was SJ that was put on the spot to lie about who's fault it was. That is why SJ sent YS to protect and take care of NN. At the same time, YS and NN fell for each other, but YS wanted to protect NN, so he tried to stay away for a long time, until she almost died for him (took a bullet for him). Later, JP almost killed SJ however made it seem like it was YJ's father that did it, and so that manipulated him to almost kill YJ's father. But instead, when he tried to save him from falling, he tried to commit suicide to protect his son instead. Finally, after finding 4 out of the 5 men, YS found out that not only is the last man the President, but also his father. It turned out, that all this time, his mother had an affair with him, but married MY. MY was going to raise him as his own, but died, and so JP stole YS from his mother to get the ultimate revenge (son kill his own father). However, YS couldn't do it. When it came time to kill the President, JP pulled the trigger on the President, and YS went in the way. Then, since NN was a Blue House agent, she shot JP. At that time, all the guards entered, and JP confessed to being the "City Hunter", and took all blame for everything he and YS had done. He then died. In the end, YS found his mother (who had cancer, and was finally treated) and ended up finally being with NN. It was a very interesting drama. I really liked how I was always in suspense, and it was thrilling to find out what happened next. Even though the romance was limited, it was a great drama. I give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars. A must see. That's it for now.
