Asuko March!
Hey Everyone!
So, I finished this drama a week or so ago, I just completely forgot to write about it! It was the first good Japanese drama I have seen in a while. It was made after a manga, so of course it was a good one. It was called Asuko March! and it was mainly about a girl named Yoshino Nao who ends up failing her high school exam because she missed putting one answer and so all her answers ended up out of order. Since that occurred, she was unable to apply for any other schools except Asuko. It is mainly known as an applied school, where majority of the students are males. They go there to learn trades and majority enter the work force after graduation instead of going to college/university. Nao really disliked the school, but after meeting the boy she likes (Aruto), and the other boys, she changes her mind and decides to stay there. Initially, the boys did not like her because she just wanted to leave, and the one other girl did not like her because she had issues with girls in the past. In the end, she decided to continue her studies at Asuko, and got together with Aruto. The meaning behind "Asuko March", is that at the end of the term, since many were leaving the school and moving on, they made a large project with wings representing them to fly onwards into their futures. It was a touching piece, and before breaking it down, they made candles and made wishes for their future. It was a very emotional drama because there were many stories about the struggles of high school students and having to learn the trades because they need to support their families. I give this drama a 5 out of 5 stars. That's it for now.
I'm off,
